CVWMA is partnering with Keep Virginia Beautiful, Keep America Beautiful, TFC Recycling, and Altria to host this event. There will not be a charge to attend because of our corporate sponsors. As of 9/29/09 registration is full.

  

When: October 21, 2009

 

Where: Henrico County Training Facility, 7701 E. Parham Road (located off Shrader Road) in Henrico, VA. Click here for Directions

 

Time: 9 am- 3 pm

          (Note: Contential Breakfast provided 8:30 - 9 am during registration. Breakfast, breaks, lunch will be provided)

 

 

Keynote Speaker,

L. Preston Bryant, Jr.

L. Preston Bryant, Jr., VA Secretary of Natural Resources has graciously agreed to be our keynote speaker. He will address the importance of Natural Resource Conservation in Virginia. Sue Smith, Director of Education for Keep America Beautiful will present KAB's Toolbox for Community Change; a panel of experts will provide recent data on community identified litter problems and the impact of litter in the Commonwealth. Other session panelists will offer programs that highlight best practices in litter laws and enforcement. Recycling resources as a solution to litter will be provided along with other tools you can use in community.

A block of rooms has been reserved at a reduced rate under Litter & Recycling Summit.

 

Target Audience: Government officals; corporations; businesses, litter and recycling program managers; state agencies;non-profits, and others that have a vested interest in keeping Virginia beautiful.

 

* A networking reception sponsored by TFC Recycling and Keep Virginia Beautiful will be held October 20th, from 5:30-7 pm  at the a new location- Innsbrook Office Park, Markel Essex Building, Salon B, 4521 Highwood Parkway, Glen Allen, VA.This event is by invitation only.
