CVWMA offers convenient drop-off recycling
to residents of central Virginia. Collection containers
are located at forty-seven sites in eleven participating
counties and cities.
The green drop-off containers feature large openings for the collection
of two recyclable "streams" - mixed paper and mixed containers.

Behind the Science Museum of Virginia, in the special events
parking lot at the corner of Leigh Street and DMV Drive. |
Items
accepted include aluminum and steel cans,
plastic bottles, cardboard, junk
mail and glass bottles and jars. Click

Newspaper is collected in separate newspaper-only bins. Look for
the container below at the site
you use:
Through
a contract with SP Recycling Corporation, CVWMA
provides these separate newspaper containers at 25 recycling
centers
throughout the region. Newspaper collection bins are also
provided to various apartment and townhouse
developments. If separate bins are not available, include
newspaper in the mixed paper bins.
Newspaper collected in these containers
is used to create 100% recycled newsprint for the central Virginia region!
